Patricia Davidson

Dr. Patricia Davidson is a Professor of Nutrition at West Chester University-PA and has taught at NYU, Rutgers, and Montclair State. She earned her degrees at SIU-Carbondale, Virginia Tech, and Rutgers. Clinical positions as a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist have included both in and out-patient diabetes education. For over thirty years Tricia has been active in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on various committees and task forces, including the development of practice guidelines (Evidence Analysis Library), Chair of the Diabetes Dietetic Practice Group, and serves on the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists Board of Directors.

Building on seven years as a researcher at the Rivka Ziv Medical Center in Tzfat, Israel, her current research centers on diabetes care and technology development throughout the lifecycle, diabetes prevention, and pedagogical approaches for enhancing student learning, including simulation, striving to be on top of emerging, evidence-based practices (EBP), both clinically and in teaching. Her awards include Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Fellow of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award (NDEP/AND), Carolyn Sebastianelli Distinguished Member Award (NJDA), and the Distinguished Service Award (GSADE), and recipient of numerous grants. Tricia has extensive experience presenting nationally and internationally and has authored/co-authored numerous grants, manuscripts, and book chapters.
